ENGLISH PROFICIENCY EXAM (EPE) ANNOUNCEMENT
Exam date: 29 September 2021, WEDNESDAY
Exam Time:
Session 1: 10.00 – 11.40 – Exam Duration: 100 minutes
Session 2: 12.00 - 12.45 – Exam Duration: 45 minutes
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ENTRY TO IYS:
In order for our students to take the exam, BOTH OF THE DOCUMENTS LISTED BELOW MUST BE WITH THEM.
1. University identity card (YEK Card) / Pre-registration document / Provisional exam entrance document
2. Official identity document (Turkish Identity Card, Identity Card with Turkish Identity Number, Driver's License or Passport/Blue card for foreign students).
If the student does not have one of the above-mentioned documents with him, the student will be able to take the exam, provided that a report is kept.
If none of these documents are present with the student, the student will not be admitted to the exam.
İETT Transport card is not valid as an identity document.
Within the scope of Covid-19 measures, you must enter the campus with the HES code.
Students who will take the exam can access the student list from the link below:
-Students who arrive late for the exam will not be given additional time. Students who come to the hall within the first 30 minutes after the exam starts will be accepted for the exam, but no student will be admitted to the exam room after that. Students are not allowed to leave the exam hall within the first 30 minutes after the exam starts.
-Students will not be allowed to leave the exam hall for any personal need.
-All students participating in the first session are required to attend the second session, which will take place in the afternoon.
-Students should make sure that the information they fill in the optical form is correct.
-All coding and writing on the optical form should be done with PENCIL, students must have pencils and erasers with them when coming to the exam.
-If you get a total of 60 points or more in 2 sessions of the English Proficiency Exam, you will be exempt from the English Preparatory Program, and if you get 70 points or more, you will be exempt from Advanced English 1-2 courses.
-The scoring of the 29 September 2021 English Proficiency Exam is as follows:
Cloze Tests (20 x 1.5 = 30 points)
Closest meaning (Restatement) (8 x 1.5 = 12 points)
Reading (14 x 1.5= 21 points)
Paragraph Completion (8 x 1.5 = 12 points)
Writing (25 points)
Total: 100 points
NOTE: There will be no Listening section in the September 29, 2021 İYS exam.
