Announcement Regarding Application Procedures for the 2026–2027 Academic Year Optional English Preparatory Program
In accordance with Section Five, titled “Principles Regarding Optional English Preparatory Instruction,” of the YTÜ School of Foreign Languages Teaching and Examination Guidelines, the quotas for optional English preparatory instruction are determined by the School’s Administrative Board. In this context, pursuant to a decision by the School of Foreign Languages Board of Directors, the quota for optional English preparatory instruction in Turkish-taught undergraduate programs for the 2026–2027 academic year has been set at 10% of the total enrollment quota for the relevant programs.
Applications for the optional preparatory program will be evaluated within this quota, and ranking will be based on the YKS score used for placement.
Students who select the Optional English Preparatory Program while registering online via e-Devlet for our University’s undergraduate programs taught in Turkish for the 2026–2027 academic year do not need to submit a separate application.
However, for students who enroll in the 2026-2027 academic year who wish to enroll in the optional English preparatory program for undergraduate programs taught in Turkish but did not select this option during registration must submit their written requests in person to the Student Affairs Office of the Department of Basic English at the School of Foreign Languages by no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026,at the latest, either in person to the Student Affairs Office of the Basic English Department at the School of Foreign Languages or by emailing a scanned copy of their hand-signed written request to notvedevamsizlik@yildiz.edu.tr.
The results of the applications will be announced on the School of Foreign Languages website.
